Bioavailability…..Huh? What? That was my reaction to that word when I first came across it.
What is it? Here is the definition – “the proportion of a drug or other substance which enters the circulation when introduced into the body and so is able to have an active effect”
Do you know the bioavailability of your supplements? Most likely, no. I never used to. I thought, vitamin C from Whole Foods was all the same as one from another natural food store. Knowledge is power, I know more now. Our supplements feature essential oils, which increases their bioavailability. Here’s a little data to throw at ya – before putting essential oils into Multigreens, there was a 42% blood absorption rate in 24 hours. But after adding essential oils, that absorption rate increased to 86% in one hour!!! The cells were now receiving nutrients that they had previously not been able to assimilate!
Why does this matter? Well, for me, I want to know what I’m putting in my body, I want to be sure it is having an impact, I want to feel the impact of supporting all of my systems, and, well, I want my $$ worth!
