Monday – again. And dreary Monday (!!it snowed!!) after a spring-like weekend needs something bright and uplifting. Hopefully your Monday will be bright with this diffuser blend.

Clary sage is a really interesting plant. WebMD writes ” Clary sage is an herb. The flowers and leaves are used to make medicine. Don’t confuse clary sage with sage leaf (Salvia officinalis). Clary sage is used for upset stomach and other digestive disorders, as well as kidney diseases. Some people use clary sage mucilage, an oily substance secreted by the plant, to remove foreign objects from the eye, to remove thorns and splinters from the skin, and for treating tumors.” I had no idea that it could have so many uses! I’ve known it as ‘the woman’s oil’; that it supposedly helps with regulating cycles. I like the herbaceous, earthy scent it brings to diffuser combinations, and how it pairs well with a heavy floral scent like geranium.

Lemon and spearmint are such a classical uplifting scent and make for a great combination here with the clary sage.

Try this one at home and tell me, “What does this scent remind you of? “

My son thinks it smells like Georgia (St. Simons Island is where we go.)
