Breath easy. Its friYAY! and its a long weekend. Time to slow down, take a moment and breathe easy.
Lemon and rosemary are two great spring scents. Pairing them with peppermint and R.C. pumps them up to the next level. When I have a stuffy head from the dry air, or just being inside too long, I’ll pop this mix in the diffuser and I’m good to go. Try this out when you have a stuffy head next and let us know what the result was!
Lemon oil is cold pressed from the rind of the lemon tree fruit. Did you know? It takes nearly 1000 lemons to produce just one pound of lemon oil!! The tree is native to the Mediterranean and Northern African areas, they are commonly grown in orchards, and bloom throughout the year.
Historically, lemons and other citrus fruits, have been used to fight malaria and scurvy, and used as a disinfectant and deodorant. The scent of lemon oil is warming, sunny, and invigorating.
R.C. is a YL specific blend of oils made of spruce, cypress, and three types of eucalyptus oils. The scent is invigorating and energetic, perfect for my pre-workout self pep talk. You can read all about it here on The Lavender Life, Young Living’s oil blog.
Eucalyptus has historically been used for body aches, sinus congestion, and colds. There’s a great website here where you can read all about the plant, oil and its history. The scent is bright, camphory, and clean. It pairs really well with heavy florals like geranium, jasmine and rose.
